JKSM patron’s family sever ties with Hurriyat

Srinagar, Mar 27 (KNO): The family of the JK Salvation Movement (JKSM) patron has publicly distanced itself from the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and any separatist agenda. Neelofer Akbar Bhat, wife of Mohammad Akbar Bhat (Zaffar Akbar Bhat), Patron of the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM), has publicly distanced herself, her husband, their children, and their organization from the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and any separatist agenda. According to the document, a copy of which lies with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Neelofer Akbar Bhat has stated that she, her husband, their children, and the JKSM have no connection or affiliation with either faction of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) or any other entity pursuing a separatist agenda. It also said that they firmly disassociate from the ideology of the APHC, stating that it has not effectively addressed the aspirations and grievances of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. It also mentions that any use of their names in association with APHC or its factions will result in legal consequences. The document states that Neelofer Akbar Bhat, her husband, their children, and the JKSM declare their allegiance to the Constitution of India and do not affiliate with any group or association acting against Indian interests. Earlier, Home Minister Amit Shah said that two more groups affiliated with the Hurriyat in Jammu and Kashmir have severed ties with separatism—(KNO)
